Friends of Bere Alston Primary School

Dear Parent/Guardian.

Welcome to Bere Alston Primary and to Bere Alston Friends of School.

We are a group of volunteers, mainly parents or guardians with children at the school, who meet regularly with the Head teacher and Deputy Head to discuss issues/concerns and plan events in aid of the school.

The types of activities we get involved in are:

• Collection and recycling of inkjet cartridges for money (collected at Reception )
• Wear what you like days
• School discos
• Autumn Fair
• Christmas Raffle
• Adhoc events (eg Fashion show)
• Discussions on school issues (anything from school dinners to playground markings)

All proceeds go towards school funds and help to purchase equipment (eg. notice boards, chairs, games for wet play) nit packs, swimming lessons and ingredients for cookery to name but a few !.

If you are interested in attending our next meeting or would just like to volunteer your help, please contact Sue James (Secretary) or Kathryn Williams (Chair) via the School Office.

We would welcome new members onto the committee and hope to see you at the next meeting!!
