If your child is unwell and is going to be absent, call school as soon as possible.

01822 840410

-Call School: As soon as you know your child will be absent from school, telephone the school office 01822840410 and select option 1 to report your child's absence. Please call every day that your child is absent.

-Daily Checks: Administrators check the registers every day at 9.15. If you have not reported that your child is not at school, you will receive a phone call from the school office.

-We call you: All parents/carers must supply at least two contact phone numbers. These numbers will be called to ascertain reason for absence.

-We visit: If we are still unable to confirm reason for absence with you, a senior member of the school (Head of School, Deputy Head, SENDCO) will visit your home to gain contact.

-We contact the Education Welfare Officer: If contact has still not been made, the Education Welfare Officer (EWO) for the area will be informed and will try and gain contact.

-Call 101- Missing Child: If school has still not been informed of the whereabouts of a child, either the EWO or the school will call 101 to report a missing child. This is in accordance with the school’s Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy.
